3 Secrets To Get Noticed Next Time You Go Out

Have you ever walked into a room full of strangers, looked around, and felt overwhelmed? Isn't it easy to play it safe by standing around with a drink in your hand and avoid drawing any attention to yourself?

I know the feeling.

Over 10 years ago I was self-conscious, depressed, and very unhappy with the results in my social and professional life.

Dating was non-existent and my list of business contacts had yet to be established.

The thought of going out on the weekends was terrifying!

The last thing I wanted to do was strike up awkward conversations with people I hadn't met before.

Fast-forward to today and it's the complete opposite.

Keep reading to find out why....

Here's the 3 Networking Secrets You Can Use This Weekend To Double Your Social Circle:

Stand Out For The Right Reasons:

When you feel good about what you're wearing people around you can sense that. This is reflected in your body language whether you realize it or not.

It's difficult to give somebody your full attention when you're concerned about your look being "frumpy."

Isn't your goal to make feel comfortable around you?

Take a moment to plan your look so that you're dressed well. This guarantees that you'll be comfortable with yourself and this confidence will translate into your conversations for the night.

Show Your Personality:

This is easily the best way to strike up conversations with people. It gives them a safe topic that opens the door for them to approach you.

For me it came in the form of wearing bow-ties to more formal events and even sometimes when going out with friends for a night of drinks on the town.

Not only was it received positively but it also was a way to stand out from the crowd and be seen as a very good dresser.

Other examples could include wearing accessories like watches and glasses that reflect your lifestyle. A pilot's watch would be a good example for somebody into flying.

Always Dress One Step Above The Dress-Code:

This one can easily be confused with trying to show off  but that's not the point.

When you know the dress-code ahead of time it doesn't take much to elevate your style to a cut-above the rest of the guys.

First, it'll show that you're confident enough to stand out.

Second, you'll be seen as a man who takes himself seriously and as a result will be taken seriously by others.

This doesn't mean wearing a tuxedo to a friend's dinner party but if they're wearing t-shirts, a simple, casual button-up will elevate your style.

Or if they're wearing golf shirts, you'll easily stand out with a navy or grey blazer on dark denim even if it's with a plain white t-shirt underneath.

Last Thoughts:

A huge part of networking is dressing the part.

This means having both a business and a casual wardrobe that looks very good, fits well, is stylish, and of course age appropriate.

Getting positive attention comes to you easily when you stand out as a man who dresses well.

By doing so you pay respect to yourself, other guests, and the host because you've put in the extra effort that shows you care.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.
