How To Make Your Life Easier Next Time You're Travelling

Taking a vacation -- sounds pretty good right now, doesn't it?
I don't think there's anyone out there who would disagree.
Even if you live in a great city, are happy with your career, and have just returned from travelling it still sounds appealing!
This past February I was lucky enough to visit Australia for my cousin's wedding.
Everything from reuniting with my family to escaping one of the worst winters I've ever seen was amazing.
To say I was excited is an understatement.
It's been nearly ten years since we've all been together, wouldn't you be excited too?
To be honest, my outfits were all planned months in advance.
The main reason I planned in so far advance was so that I wouldn't have to think about what to wear while I was enjoying time with my family.
Unless you're willing to pay extra and feel like hauling around a bunch of heavy luggage, you need to choose your outfits wisely.
The last thing you want to do when you're excited to get out the door and see the sights is trying to figure out what to wear.
Now it sounds like I was well organized for this trip. That's true (for the most part).
Yet with all of this planning there was one major thing I managed to overlook -- my luggage!
This my not sound like a big deal but it's more important than you might think.
Before I get to why, let me ask, "If you owned a brand new Ferrari would you be ok with parking it inside a beat up, dusty, old garage?"
I don't think so!
The same principle applies when it comes to choosing the right luggage.
Packing all of your gear into the same bag you took backpacking with you across Thailand after university is fine (in your 20's).
For a grown man who's serious about his career and wants to be respected, this isn't an option.
Choose Your Luggage Wisely
Make it stand out for all the right reasons.
First of all, it'll be easier to spot coming down the conveyor belt when you reach your destination.
Nobody likes waiting for their bag after a long flight.
What's even worse is worrying about whether it's gone missing or not.
The more distinct it is, the more likely you (and even the baggage handlers) are to lose it.
You're also more likely to care of it when you're actually proud of how your bag looks and feels.
This is especially true if you've purchased premium bag like what Monte & Coe has to offer.
No Need To Sacrifice Function Over Fashion
Of course practicality is a must.
Unfortunately far too many men buy into the misconception that a well-made, durable bag has to be heavy-duty and tactical.
I'm here to tell you that's not the case (pun intended).
Take the Weekender bag pictured above for example.
It looks great, is built to last, and is great for a weekend getaway or a quick mid-week business trip.
What I love about this bag is that it pairs just as easily with a suited up outfit as it does with a casual jeans and t-shirt look.
You life becomes much easier when an item is this versatile.
Next time you plan on hitting the road, don't forget your luggage.
Of course I don't mean that literally (which would also suck).
The last thing you want is to stuff all of your nice gear into a dusty old suitcase.
Invest your luggage wisely, especially if your goal is to dress appropriately for your age and to be taken seriously.
